ABOUT.

I'm a ceramicist who's been working for over 16 years from my home on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. I make  handbuilt ceramics using porcelain & stoneware clays, to create both functional & decorative items.

My inspiration for my work, comes from items I collect, nature & the landscape around me. I’m a keen walker & gardener & I want to transfer what I see & collect from these experiences, into imagery & pattern to decorate my ceramics.

Currently my work has two focus points ; my ‘Map & Field Collections’ - which my ceramics through form & symbolic inspired decoration, echo ancient roads, places & the surrounding Yorkshire landscape, and my most recent work, ‘Natural Specimen’ - reflecting collected object from walks & natural specimens. Visit my gallery page, to see these bodies of work.
